"(...) There is 'architecture = illusion', a theme you find in movies. You leave one room to go to another. Architects do this in a contiguous way, meaning that the second room is really physically behind the first, while in movies thousands of kilometers can separate the two. But what's interesting is the idea of perception. Is what we see real? Is it a reflection, an image, a mystery? Whatever's strange, odd, surprising, everything that makes us question our senses, is the basis, as far as we're concerned, of all the really innovative, interesting, and stimulating architecture that's been produced since the beginning."
